SEA FOAM Trans Tune Transmission Additive TT16

Magic in a bottle!. Saved me £1000's.

After being faced with a bill of at least £1500 to replace the Mechatronic unit in my Kuga Powershift DCT gearbox I decided to give this Seafoam Hydra Trans a go. The oil had been replaced 15,000 miles ago (service is every 37,000) but still the "Transmission Limited Function" raised it's ugly head, P0766 (odd clutch modulation solenoid stuck). With nothing to loose I dropped the oil for fresh (5.5l) changed filter and added 700cc of Hydra Trans. The car was on the drive and practically undrivable at this point!. After 10 mins warming up and nudging forward/ reverse on the drive it felt 100% better so I decided to go for a tentative drive round the block. Everytime it shifted it felt smoother and setting off from a stop was nice and smoth rather than a clunk and go! 30 miles on and the gearbox is good as new, I am amazed the Seafoam Hydra Trans work at all due to the severity of the fault, let alone this quickly!. Will be adding a bottle on every fluid change now as a conditioner. Anyone with a faulty DCT/ DSG gearbox needs to try this before spending £1000's on having it repaired!.

Dangerous!.

Absolutely shocking design, 1 soft 4mm roll pin is expected to hold 500kg. Failed on first use but luckily I wasn't injured. Pictures tell the story..

Excellent quality oil!, Ford Powershift.

After spending through the nose for genuine Ford oil and still having problems with my Powershift DCT450 I decided to try out another brand of oil. This does the job perfectly, can get at least 5 oil changes (price per litre) vs the Ford oil so 20,000 mile services are affordable and a good idea to maintain the gearbox. Just buying my 2nd barrel!.
