Built in battery not up to the job.
From a full charge, this tracker only managed 90 minutes, at which point it had dropped to 20%. Once down to ~20%, it seemed to have insufficient power to tx its position via gprs or respond to SMS. Although the lights flashed to indicate it was attempting to do so. This was in an open area with good 2G coverage. I tried this twice, each time with full charges, and results were similar each time.
I also have an identically configured a TK909 that reports 60% battery level remaining after a 3 hour walk. That's an 18 month old unit that's seen almost daily use.
I have these devices set up to send their position every 10 seconds. So more demanding power-wise than the default set-up. Still the TK909 lasts much longer on a charge.
I prefer the traditional micro-usb plug-in charging of the older TK909 to the magnetic charging cradle of the TK911. The TK911 can be inadvertently dislodged, interupting the charging process, leaving you with an uncharged tracker the following morning.
The TK911 is fine (whilst it has power). But the low battery capacity very much limits its usefulness for my use case. I would recommend going with the slightly larger TK909. Other than the difference in battery and charging, the performance and configuration of these two devices seems to be about the same. Both TK911 and TK909 are 2G only devices. Both worked with the same giffgaff SIM I bought in 2016.

Revived my phone
Easy to fit. With care, I managed to do it without a heat gun or removing the screen. Item appears to be same part number as the original equipment. Works fine.
