Don't forget your filters!
To begin I was somewhat disappointed, there was a distinct smell emanating from my Dyson and the motor seemed to be running quite hot judging by the exhaust temperature. But then I remembered that on the video I watched describing how to fit the motor mention was made of the after motor filter. I checked this and sure enough it was filthy so a replacement was ordered and fitted and now the motor performs superbly; suction is excellent (certainly as good as the original) and both the smell and overheating have disappeared. An excellent product at a reasonable price and easy to fit, just find the right utube video. Sadly since writing the above review the motor has gone kaput. Whilst I am in no way an electrical expert I do know when a motor is in danger of burning itself out. The stench is quite horrible!!
