Good value, good ergos from a brand I trust.
This is my second one. The first one is attached to a long pole for high pruning, this one will be used lower down in my hand. Great value, good quality saw from a brand that I trust.
The first one has gone rusty, but it is 15 years old. However it is still usable. One disadvantage of these is that they can't be sharpened. I believe replacement blades are available but there isn't a huge difference between a new blade and a new saw so I bought a new saw.
If you buy one be sure to wash off tree resin after use, dry it and spray a little wd 40 on the saw to help it cut smoothly and prevent rust.

Well written, entertaining, but not much restoration
I liked the way Rog describes his characters, you can almost see him combing a scrap yard for Allis tractor bits. I feel sorry for Linda his wife, I think perhaps she could write a book for women who are married to us tractor nuts. I envy his climate where old tractors survive a lot longer than here (Ireland). I'm looking forward to reading more of his books, only fault though is that it is a bit light on restoration techniques. Rog sounds like a real character himself and if I'm ever in Nebraska the 'These Monkies Bite' sign won't stop me dropping in. The book is very well written, I'd recommend this for anyone who has a tractor nut (or stud) in the family
