OK when used flat but fiddly and time-consuming to cut each one out.
As a stand--up item it is not much good being one-sided and it would be far better if it could be popped out of its surround rather than having to laboriously cut it out.

Excellent back-up provided.
It has most of the features of a normal chart plotter and although it is not quite so intuitive to use you soon get to grips with it for a fraction of the cost of a normal chartplotter AND you have a computer to boot! Steve is most helpful and I can recommend him.

Awkward to use
While the idea is good it is difficult to use. The idea is good but because of the 'gearing' the amount of cord you have to pull to achieve the cut means that the have to take a second pull and this time, of course the handle is round your knees and you have to have a second pull . With no handle to pull on you then have to wind the cord round your hand and it hurts! Not a good design. Also the cord has a tendency to jump off the pulleys both jamming and damaging the pulley itself.
It cuts well enough and the saw is good - provided you have tightened the extension enough to stop the pole compacting as you saw - but I was a little disappointed
