Creepy Castle Abound !!
Probably one of the most 2nd edition campaign settings is Ravenloft. Castle Forlorn is an amazing box set with a LOT to offer. Of course, there are the castles, however the is a bunch more. Monsters, NPCs, spells, random encounters, adventures, and adventure ideas, magical items, and the depth to add a LOT to your Forgotten Realms campaign or any campaign. I have used this and other Ravenloft stuff for Greyhawk, Haven, Hallow World and my own home brew campaign. These box sets are a must for any collector of obviously, but I find the campaign setting resources a must.

3 good reasons to pick one of these up
For collectors, obviously a box set is a must. However, the original purpose of this box set is as an introduction to the games system. To that end it is very well designed. Novices can learn basic game play in no time, and this can be a very quick bridge to learning 1st and 2nd edition AD&D. It stands alone also as a fun family game. If kept in good condition, this is a game that should always grow in value and as a collectible is a great investment.
