Death along the Spirit Road is OK, but not as good as the Longmier series.
It was not better than I expected, but it was as good as I expected. I was a little disappointed it the authors lack of knowledge about the difference between brake systems on older cars, but I pay more attention to little things.

Will read it next.
I must be honest and state that I started with the last book in the series first. I bought it on sale and didn't know about the other 2 books. I read "The Last Ranch" and it was great. I am reading "Hard Country" now, and it is great as well. I have no reason to believe that "Backlands" will be anything less than great. I intend to pick up more books by McGarrity.
