Good set of higher level skirmish rules!
1 of 1 found this helpful Obviously, the name of this rules set should give you a clue as to the topic! Its large scale skirmish set in the period of the Napoleonic Wars. However, it can easily cover any conflict in the musket period, say 1720-1870, with a little common sense!
It brings to life the Sharpe TV series. So plenty of opportunity for daring do!
Very good value for money, like all of the Osprey Wargame Rule Sets.
All in all, a fun set of rules that gives you a chance to play Napoleonic on a smaller scale.
Highly recommended.

Useful for Modellers and Wargamers!
This item is designed for use with 20mm scale. However, it will be a useful addition for both 15mm and 25/28mm scales. A good selection of Cacti and other useful items.
It is made with soft plastic, but not too soft. For painting I generally undercoat with a matt enamel undercoat, or a pva glue wash, as this gives you something for your paint to adhere too. Also, the glue will stiffen the plastic, if you feel it is needed.
Overall a really useful product!

Adds Variety to your Napoleonic Forces!
HaT 28's are made from hard plastic, not soft like their 20mm range!
They are easy to assemble with either modellers liquid cement, or with super/crazy glue. Only needing very limited clean up of flash etc., as they are very nicely moulded.
These figures are slightly smaller than the more chunky Warlord, or Perry Miniatures, as they are actually more realistic, rather than chunky. You could not easily mix them within a unit of those manufacturers figures. However, if they are formed into separate units, they do not look too awkward.
By combining them with the command and marching poses, I have formed my Battalions and I have an entire Brigade of these, including Light Battalions, to add to my French and Confederation Forces.
They are not perfect, but they are easy to assemble, paint up nicely and are good value for money! I would recommend these and hope that HaT expand their 28mm range, so it would be possible to organize an entire army using their figures!
