Excellent little device, works perfectly.
Excellent little device. I bought it to boost the input to an amplifier that was being fed from a projector (DVD player into projector then out into the amplifier and speakers). The resulting audio level was far too low so I used this module to boost the level. It was easy to set up and adjust it to give the right input level into the amplifier. The sound is now good and loud and the quality of the audio is excellent. Hint: just remember to put a smoothing capacitor across the power supply input to remove power supply interference (as described in the instructions) - I had complaints about a whistling noise until I'd done this. Recommended!

Excellent projector at a great price
This projector performs really well straight out of the box, without any need for fiddling about with menus etc. Just plug it up and go. Picture quality is magnificent, especially when fed with a Blue Ray movie over HDMI: sharp and bright with good colour rendering. There is some evidence of the "rainbow effect" that plagues DLP projectors but I've really only noticed it on very high contrast scenes where there are very bright highlights against a dark background. On the Eco setting the fan runs really quietly, hardly audible even in a quiet living room. It's rather louder when using full brightness but for most purposes Eco is plenty bright enough (and also extends the lamp life significantly). Also from Eco, switch off is almost instant - no waiting around for the fan to stop running before clearing it away. There are plenty of tweaks available to those who want to fiddle but many of these don't appear to be saved between sessions so are of limited use. The real strength of this projector is that fiddling isn't really necessary since it works perfectly at its default settings. So, great for those who just want to sit down and watch movies in glorious HD, perhaps not ideal for the avid tweaker!
