HORNBY 'OO' GAUGE R4155 LMS OPERATING ROYAL MAIL COACH SET '30246' BOXED !

2002-2011 Hornby POS Royal Mail LMS coach was in fine condition with all the ‘extras’ and certainly appears as though it has never been used.

This excellent example of Hornby Model R4155, Running Number 30246 re-released between 2002 – 2011 with all its original ‘extras’, which looks as though it has never been used was supposed to represent the 60ft LMS POS Period III D1792 Lot 611 (No 30246 – 30248) built in1931 Wolverton @ 33T, 60ft x 8ft 8” x 12ft 41/2” which had 8 Top Central Windows on the Collection & Dispatch side, but the model was produced 15mm to short. The model represents the one-off LMS POS Coach Period II D1974, Lot 472, built in 1929 @ Wolverton, 31T, 57ft x 8ft 8” x 12ft 51/2”, which after 1933 LMS renumbering scheme became No 30232 and was built with 6 Top Central Windows on the Collection & Dispatch side, although the ‘Letter Sorting’ Side had a different layout The coach will be re-purposed to represent this coach as it was after 1933.

HORNBY R6241 LMS CONFLAT AND CONTAINER

Adds to my collection of LMS Conflats.and is as good as new.

Arrived safe & sound well packed 22-08-2021 @ 10:03 from the home of the Seven Valley Railway @ Bridgenorth. This Hornby K37 container came with flat wagon 4757, the original R6013 Hornby K37 had N300465 wagon (1997) while the R6241 Hornby K1 Container used 4737. (2004) I have both of these, so a little bit of renumbering and I have a 'new' set and become R6241B This site linked me to another LMS conflat (R6241A I was looking and I secured that as well, so now I am very happy.

Brilliant with loads of tips and techniques

The DVD Right Track 4 Detailing and Improving RTR Locos & Coaches works like a dream and together with the DVD which also arrived from the same supplier, Right Track 3 Painting, Lining and Finishing will provide me with much useful information for my 3 projects as long as my health does not get any worse. The content Index is a useful way of accessing the areas I need look at. It provides much useful information which will take me time to assimilated. The video has good production standards and the actions are well described.
