Panasonic VDR-D250 Camcorder

I bought this camcorder on e-bay at a bargain price, and of course that is the reason we all use e-bay. I would definately not have paid the £499.00 shop price, although it is a superb camcorder with excellent picture quality, the controls are easy to use, the only problem I have is reaching the still shot button, if you have average to large hands there is no way you can reach it when holding the camera with the palm strap; I have to use my other hand to press the button. Apart from this it is a superb piece of kit, it captures crisp, high-resolution digital video on 8cm DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM discs. The DVD-RAM format allows non-linear editing right in the camcorder, and gives the greatest flexibility in re-recording. I find that the disc and battery life are much longer than stated in the specs. It features 3 CCDs, 10x optical zoom, 2.7" 16:9 LCD, SD card slot, joystick control for easy, one-finger navigation, 16:9 widescreen format recording, 2.3 Megapixel still recording, built-in LED color enhancement light, video editing software and Hi-speed USB 2.0. transfer. You can access the recorded scenes instantly without searching, fast-forwarding, or rewinding. The camera indexes the initial images of video scenes and displays them as thumbnails, making for fast and easy searching and previewing of material. It also features a lightning fast, 10-second start-up time, and on screen editing. A superb buy if you can get one at the right price. Ken
