Little marvel
I've been tinkering with some small fm "bug" type transmitters and these small mics are just the item for the job they are small easy to use and so sensitive for the size of the case I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sound and modulation I was able to achieve even with such basic circuitry. I have already recommended them to a friend who is interested in the same sort of basic transmitter /receiver builds and I believe he has ordered some for himself. A really good little microphone for the price.

Minimics great little boon for projects
These little miniature microphones are a godsend for small electronic thru hole projects requiring an audio imput. Rather than having to use an external audio source these mics are small enough to be mounted "on board " directly on the pcb just push the pins thru the holes and solder in place what could be easier, no trailing wires no plugs etc, ideal for small amplifier and transmitter projects. I have used them for both and the tiny spy bug fm radio transmitter was a great success. I would use them every time I need an audio imput.

Fm radio reciever kit.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a really good little radio kit for someone learning about radio and electronics it's a useful project for some soldering practice because doing is the only way to learn to solder the only difficult part is the small fm chip which is a surface mount part and can be a problem if you are not up to smd soldering although I have found the best way is just to try and try again until you develope a bit of a technique if you are careful enough you can always clean up the job and start again anyway the rest of the kit is through hole using discreet components and is straightforward,as with the majority of these Chinese "suites"(kits ) there are no instructions but a list of the components and a schematic are all you need as much of the information is on the pcb as a silkscreen print, even the shape of the components are shown so orientation is easy as well. Providing you have completed the soldering and installed everything correctly you have a neat little fm radio reciever ideal for use with headphones or earbuds it even uses the earphone lead as an antenna so less wires, yeah! It would be a good candidate for a small custom case as to make it a bit more practical to carry around in your pocket or purse or whatever the design and build of the case is up to the builder but I think it is worthwhile. Again a fun little kit to put together and for the price of a pint of beer can't be beaten.
