Very useful gadget
We bought this to use primarily in conjunction with our Blink doorbell, since we found that the bell sounding solely on my mobile was hit and miss and too limiting. You can sync the two units and the Echo Dot will give you an internal doorbell plus "Someone's at the door" announcement from Alexa. So far (first week), it's working well.
An additional positive is that we discovered that you can listen to radio stations like LBC and Planet Rock through the Echo Dot/Alexa too, and the sound quality is surprisingly good. I'm sure there are more uses you can get from it as well. For the low price, this is a great little gadget.
