Good Heavy Duty Pedal Cage
I can only suspect that there are other people out there like me, that use pedal cages in lieu of clip-in pedals/shoes. For those of us (old school folks) that do use cages, and ride frequently, these cages are a heavier duty cage versus many on the market.
I just purchased lighter cages without giving any real scrutiny to the purchase, only to quickly learn that the lighter cages just don't stand-up over any extended period of time to the harsh rigors of mountain biking. So I purchased these cages, clearly seeing that they have more body at/around the toe. They do provide much better rigidity/integrity to the cage and pedaling process. Now considering that there isn't much considerable cost difference between these good quality cages and lighter cages, why would someone chose the inferior ones?
