Revell 1d Flower Class Corvette HMCS Snowberry
1 of 1 found this helpful New tooling makes this a breeze to build with very good fit of parts, nice level of detail and little clean up of parts required.
At just over 500 parts this is not for the novice builder but easily handled by anyone with a few model builds under their belt.
Decals and painting instructions are for Snowberry only with her Western Approaches colours although the Revell colour fallouts for the W.A. scheme seem a too bright, a lower percentage of blue and green in the mixes will tone this down sufficiently. That said, pictures of the model completed by Revell do look rather striking in the stronger colours.
The only real downside of the kit is the overly thick handrails which are a casualty of the limitations of injection molding.
All in all a great kit and extremely good value for money , build it straight from the box and you'll have a lovely addition to your collection. Spend the extra on some aftermarket goodies and you'll have a masterpiece.

Hobbyboss USS Cole 1/700
Better than I expected with crisp details on well molded parts. Easy and quick to assemble without the urge to scratchbuild extra bits.
Included are two small sheets of etched brass parts including railings, mast, missile launcher bays and Aegis radar panels.
Builds into a quality model straight from the box.
I have since ordered another as well as seriously considering others in their range.
Well worth the money.

Excellent replacement!
If you have the Trumpeter 1/200 Sovremenny then you know how awful the kit guns are. These Veteran models items are beautifully detailed and pretty accurate looking replacements. Definitely worth the relatively inexpensive pricetag and a must for the serious modeller!
