ACDelco 252-800 Professional Water Pump

"Nice reliable pump"

I needed a water pump for my 2006 Jaguar Vanden Plas because mine had started leaking about a half gallon per day, Before purchasing I got online and went to the Jaguar Forums for advice. They cautioned to stay away from some of the cheaper versions that come with only a paper gasket and no o-ring that fits around the impeller housing which are prone to leak immediately after installation once the car is driven and then parked. They also encouraged one to seek a pump with metal impellers as opposed to plastic which are prone to crack with age, This pump came with an affordable price and came with the preferred metal gasket that has pre-installed silicon sealer around the inlet and outlet water ports as well as the o-ring for the impeller housing. It installed easily with absolutely no water leaks after test driving. Seems the previous owner had installed a cheaper pump without a gasket, albeit there was plenty of black sealant compound gooped all around the edges. So far I trust this pump and would recommend it to others.
