The Nikon D40 is the best camera we've owned!
3 of 3 found this helpful My wife and I have had several Nikon 35mm cameras over the years, which have always been extremely dependable. I finally decided to break down and get a decent digital SLR, since my wife couldn't get creative enough with the point-and-shoot Nikon 4800 I've been using. Wow! What a good decision! The D40 turns on instantly, and is ready to take pictures. My wife was frustrated by how many shots she was missing with the 4800, due to the amount of time it took to turn on, or to store a shot before it was ready to take another one. The D40 is instantly ready to focus and shoot, and can snap off 5-6 frames in the first second, without making you wait to store them! I bought the body separately so that I wasn't stuck with the limited factory lens, and I bought a Nikon 18-135mm lens separately. The lens and camera together are much lighter than our 35mm equipment, easier to handle, stunningly quiet as it focuses and shoots, and takes beautiful pictures. Its going to be a long while until we tap the full potential of this beautiful camera. I gave it to my wife at our 30th Anniversary dinner, and she is delighted. The only feature I could have asked for was that the rear LCD screen could also be used to see the subject during shooting, not just to review the shots. But, that's a small thing compared to the great value this camera was. We have always had great success with Nikon cameras, and I have a good feeling about this decision too!

Great value!
2 of 2 found this helpful The only downside I can find to this TV is the simple ROKU remote that came with it. But, for me that's not an issue, because I'm using it with a Comcast Xfinity universal remote. It has a great picture and sound.
