Great on the track or riding briskly.
After riding an MT10 with factory fitted quick shifter, I was aiming to replicate that experience. I think the Healtech is a good way there and when at full throttle changing up through the gears it’s great, even giving a slight pop from the exhaust. It was fairly easy to install and the instructions were understandable and easy to follow. The phone app/Bluetooth is easy to use as the shifter will likely need some fine tuning to get the most from it. However it’s also easy to make it worse so only adjust one thing at a time until you get used to it.
The downsides, I’ve heard two arguments for quick shifters, one is the sports use for faster gear changes and the other is that it saves your clutch hand from tiring on long journeys and riding in town. As it’s not connected to the on board computer is doesn’t know ‘how’ you are riding, so changing gear at low revs has you being thrown forward and back as the throttle switches off instantly, due to the gears spinning slower the cut off time being extended. A throttle delay ramp down setting would reduce this effect but I don’t know how difficult it would be to build that in. It also doesn’t have an auto blipper so doesn’t work as well changing down the gears as changing up. And lastly it doesn’t know when you’ve hit top gear so when I check to see if if I’m top gear as I can never remember, it still cuts the engine, without changing gear of course.
All that being said, once you get used to the ‘character’ of it, it’s great fun to ride with. I’m still not sure if on my 1000cc sports bike it actually saves me any time but it’s a great gadget that I’m glad I invested in. If I’d ridden an after market quick shifter before and known about the niggles then, I’d still have bought one. I’ve been out in rain, cold and summer heat. It’s worked every time without fail. So to sum up, if you ride hard and like a bit of fun, you’ll love this. If you want to ride though town without using your clutch, you’ll find it a bit annoying.

Happy at last.
After three other phone holders I bought didn’t work very well this one actually does exactly what it’s supposed to. Fits my iPhone and has a gap for the charging cable. Can be rotated and doesn’t fall off the window. Recommended.

Good for about 15 mins then failed.
The fan fell off inside the first time I used it. I glued it back on but now it vibrates. I wouldn’t recommend this fan as the build quality is beyond poor. The seller was swift and postage fair but I’d pay a little more for a better product next time.
