Cool Little Figure
I love these little Templar knights. I wish they were more available here in the states. Not sure why they are so pricey though. Perhaps because they don't sell them here in thee States? Schleich is a German Brand but the figure itself is Made in China. They've managed to make these little toys uber-profitable since the whole point of making stuff in China is to lower the cost of production. Anyways, Cool Little Figure.

GO GETTER GO!
1 of 1 found this helpful Getter Robos are giant machines powered by Getter Rays, a fictional power source akin to nuclear energy. Each robot is made out of seperate space ships each with a different pilot at the helm. The space ships come together to form Getter Robo One, or Getter Liger, or Getter Posiedon. This is the original Transformers Robot. I bought this partly out of nostalgia for the 1970's Shogun Warriors cartoon, and as research for my explorations in illustration. The animation is outstanding. The music is sometimes cheesy and other times it is appropriately matched to the action. The story is a jumbled mess, but I wonder if that has more to do with the translation than with the original writers. I think the story would have made more sense to me if I had seen the original Getter Robo series and the subsequent version New Getter Robo, but it is worth it just to see all the different Getter Robo designs in action. It is state of the Art animation that holds up to todays standards. The last disc alone is worth the whole set. Go Nagai, the artist/creator of Getter Robo created other Super Robots such as Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger and Getter Dragon. This animated series is from the 1998. The set contains 13 episodes on 4 discs.
Disc 1: 1. From Beyond the Grave
2. Shin Dragon:God or Devil?
3. Goodbye Getters
4. After The Blast
Disc 2: 5. The New Generation
6. The Awful Truth
7. Into The Dragon
Disc 3: 8. Blood And Ice
9. Battleground:Manhattan
10. War In The Pacific
Disc 4: 11. Overload!
12. Help For The Stars
13. Evolution's End
Below is an outline of the story from wikipedia:
"In Getter Robo Armageddon, Shin Getter is Professor Saotome's ultimate creation during the prologue of the story. After breaking through a group of mass-produced Getter Robo Gs, Ryoma Nagare and Hayato Jin find it inside the Saotome Laboratory along with Go "Saotome", the professor's genetically engineered "son". When the trio learns that the military has launched a nuclear warhead at the newly-formed Shin Dragon, they use Shin Getter in an attempt to stop the attack, but ultimately fail, causing a Getter Ray contamination that kills most of the planet's population. Several years later, when the story picks up again, Shin Getter is piloted by Go, Kei Kuruma (Getter teammate Benkei Kuruma's adopted daughter) and Gai. They use Shin Getter until Shin Dragon joins them willingly to fight the Invaders, at which point Ryoma, Hayato and Benkei take up the piloting duties for Shin Getter. The two Getters combine their energy to create incredible attacks, capable of destroying Jupiter and its Invader-infected moons, but Shin Getter ends up stranded in another dimension, fighting alongside Getters from other universes for all eternity."
