Better for older children and adult collectors. Love the face molds.
For an older child who can understand they need to be careful of the removable parts like the arms and hands this is a fun toy.
For the older teens and adults this is an awesome toy to collect and use in dioramas, making them one of a kind projects, and just being part of a collection.
I, myself, am an adult and with my daughter we like collecting dolls and Monster High has been a fun new addition to our doll family.

Beautiful rich fabric on a Barbie Model Muse body. Perfect display doll.
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased the doll as a white nude that was used as a model for the owner who made clothes for Barbie dolls. She was in great condition. Her hair still retained her original hairstyle.
The reason I purchased her was she had the model muse body type and she had a very pretty face. The price I paid for her also added in my decision too.
When I looked this doll up on Ebay and saw her in her original outfit I knew that I wanted to try and restore her, which I did. I found her dress on auction and won it but it was missing the belt and I found the dress was actually sewn onto the doll by the manufacturer and therefore I needed to mend this dress so it could be taken on and off at ease by using small snaps. The dress is why I gave this doll a 4 out of 5 rating. The dress is well worth the time to make it more user friendly as it's made of a rich velvet and a heavy skirt fabric.
I found that I actually had her shoes in my own collection of shoes and the belt I purchased on Ebay from a woman who makes belts for Barbie dolls.
All in all, the cost to restore the doll cost less than the price to purchase one never removed from the box. I am very satisfied with my Holiday Barbie and have just bought her a white fur stole as an accessory to her outfit.
This doll is a model type Barbie. She is very thin and is set in one position. Her legs do not bend except to move back and forth and her body is not a twist and turn. She makes an excellent display doll, but may not be as acceptable to a young child.
Personally I love the Model Muse Barbie as I display my dolls and change their clothes and hairstyles to suit my desire. I would recommend this type doll to any collector.

A great Barbie doll to model and display outfits. Great price & shipping.
I purchased this doll because she had the Steffie/PJ face. I had already purchased the Barbie, Sweet Roses PJ with Brown hair for my daughter who also is named PJ. I then kept seeing other ads at Ebay for Barbie's friend with the Steffie/PJ face and thought to find one to see if she looked like PJ. I found this Miss Amethyst 2007 with the Steffie face and thought how pretty she was. The price was good as was the shipping. The only thing that bothered me was that the doll was sold nude. I didn't care that maybe the owner didn't have her clothes, but I wished she had put a cheap dress, swimsuit or something on her. I was blessed though that the doll was in great condition, no odors, clean and needed minimal hair care. I had purchased some handmade gowns from a few girls on Ebay and found this doll the most perfect dress. Would I recommend this doll to others? Only if you want a display or model type Barbie. Her legs are in a set stationary position but can move back and forth and her arms can be moved out from her sides and forward or backward. That makes dressing her easier as well as posing her. She doesn't move at the waist at all and her hips are in a permanent position. She is a very slim doll in both the bust and hips so she requires clothes specific to her body style. Not ALL clothes made for Barbie will fit this doll. But, for me, I love her just the way she is as I wanted her to model the clothes I find for her specifically. I looked up others like her and found that I was blessed to get her at such a good price as others are selling her type and model muse Barbie at a much higher price, even nude.
