Through Sand & Snow: a man, a bicycle, and a 43,000 mile journey round the world

Brilliantly recounted emotional journey

Having had the pleasure of seeing the author talk live about his latest expediation to Siberia in February 2022 I wanted to hear more of his adventures, so I bought this and his other book "Roads that Echo" from him. I was not dissapointed, this book is an utterly compelling read, demlosihed by me in a fraction of the time it normally takes me to read books I found his adventures on the bike to be a brilliantly described emtoional adventure, something that I dearly wish I had had the courage to do myself, but instead can live vicariously by readintg these books. I am very much looking forward to demolishing the second book now !

Dobble Gruffalo Card Game

Lots of fun for Gruffalo and Dobble fans

Dobble is a wonderful game and being a big fan of the Gruffalo (at 47 years old) I decided to buy the Gruffalo version. I loved this too, lots of fun, using characters and animals form the story along with the various Gruffalo body parts adds a twist to the game. Beware this is a "kids" version - that means there are only 6 symbols per card and 30 cards in the pack, verses 8 per card and 55 cards in a full Dobble pack. I was disappointed by this at first, but actually I still love the game and it is still a challenge. Ironically my 17 daughter thrashes me at full 55 card dobble (Harry Potter Version) but cannot beat me at this "easier" Gruffalo version.

Tick Remover Tweezers - Stainless Steel Tick Removal Tool, Professional Tick UK

Solid, well made

I haven't actually used these Tweezers to remove ticks yet, but I can see they are well made and will clearly be up to the job. The magnifying glass will make it easier for my old longsighted eyes to be able to see the tick I am removing.
