Beautifully told through prose
Acevedo has a hit on her hands with this gorgeous book about “X” our main character, and her trying to find herself and her own voice in highschool. Making that harder tha it needs to be is her very devout mother who has her own plans for her. It’s beautiful, heartbreaking, wonderful. This book does contain abuse though verse short and not to graphic. Great for pre teens to adults.

Black panther meets Avatar The Last Air Bender!!
1 of 1 found this helpful A clever young adult fantasy that sets a new standard for the genre. I loved how this book took on various hard subjects especially colorism which I can’t ever remember a young adult book tackling. Very excited for the sequel! A classic in the making.

Something for everyone
A great entry into fantasy for those who are new to the genre. Rothfuss' writing is compelling, while being simplistic so it's very easy to read.
