Not a bad film but not as expected
This film says it is about the 1981 hunger strikes at HMP Maze prison. It isn't. It is about the Blanket and no wash protests and it is about getting Bobby Sands elected as an MP whilst still serving time in jail and being on hunger strike. It is mostly about Seamus Scallion and his leadership of the inmates. The hunger strikes are barely mentioned and are only shown very briefly at the end of the film. It is a good movie about their time in prison but it is NOT about the hunger strikes.
