Clarifications:
The flash is easy to use as a slave, and on a Pentax 645n. I can't comment on other configurations.
I have no way to easily measure output consistency, but these are well-regarded flashes. Works for TTL.
Recycle is normally about 8 seconds on its A-cells and about 2 seconds using a Quantum Turbo battery and appropriate cable to feed 330V directly to the flash capacitor.

One detail...
One detail that might not be documented where these are sold is that according to Quantum's Instructions: "Note:The dual output connector will not operate unless two Turbo Cables are being used." This refers to the battery-to-flash cables. They don't have to be plugged into flashes, as the connection detection is done at the pins.

This item also fits the F4s standard finder. It aids keeping extraneous light out of the eye.
