Enhance your appreciation of the orchestra.

This is a comprehensive set examining and explaining how the various instruments and sections of the orchestra are used supplemented by a very accessible booklet looking at the instruments themselves. The illustrations are from the Naxos catalogue therefore arguably the set is a marketing exercise but the experience is a satisfying one and, at the price I paid, reasonable value.
