Good value product.

The cable works as advertised, charging and data exchange, I bought it to connect a speaker unit from a very reputable make, not Apple, and it works perfectly with that, charging and playing flawlessly. I keep my phone in a protective case and didn't want to keep taking it out to charge and play, this cable allows me to use the speaker without removing the phone case. Occasionally it has been rejected by my phone as not being Apple. I found that this happened mostly with third party equipment, so probably the combination of two units. I am pleased with my purchase, the advantages far outweigh the issue with third party units.
