Getting better
The third edition adds more detail, but still lacks any detail of key depots and installations and omits a number of Preserved Railways. I personally don't think the Level Crossing locations add anything and just clutter up the maps. But it is getting there....

Sony PS2
Now that Sony have released the over-hyped and over-priced PS3, the good old PS2 looks like great value for money at around fifty quid on Ebay. Ours came with five (admitidly crap) games for that money plus two controllers and two memory cards. Being a Strict Victorian Father I had previously forbidden my offspring from anything more sophisticated that a PS1, so Christmas for them was an orgy of game-=play on the "new" PS2. Which only goes to show that actually they are quite happy with the PS2 and don't need the expensive poor VFM PS3. After all, the PS3 is not backwardly compatible for a start, whereas the PS2 was and will play their PS1 games, PS3 games cost £30 or more whereas all the old PS2 games are on Ebay for a fiver, so they get to play more games for their pocket money. And we are not being slaves to multinational corporate brand marketing, which certainly makes us all feel better!
