Nutting like it
The amount of times that I've bent a pin spanner and had to resort to drifting the frozen locking ring with and screwdriver blade and hammer cannot be counted. I bought the Milwaukee Fixtec grinder nut in hopes of this being better, but I've had problems with that too with bending the loop handle. I've since learned about the benefit of using a good quality grease on the spindle to aid flange nuts. That said buying the Bosch quick locking nut has moved my relationship with the grinder to another level. If I don't use grease, it's not a problem. The nut is really easy to put on and take off, even with a diamond grinding cup. This is not to say that'll fit any disc/cup though. You'll have to figure that out for yourself. Yes, the locking ring is on the large side and I do strike it against the material being ground, but this happens with the smaller profiled flange nut anyway, it just happens more often due to the size. Nothing lasts forever and with close confines grinding I know that eventually the nut will be scored so many times that it'll lose its locking ring or some such. Ideally the boffins at Bosch will design a ring with a more slender profile, but for now this is as good as it gets for me.

Handy bag
I needed a bulk bag to contain a vast amount of old gypsum board in preparation for sending off to the Council's disposal system. I ordered and on the second day they were here, just in time to take my huge pile of debris and get ready for a site visit. The timing couldn't have been better.
My purchase was determined by the price and free delivery so would highly recommend Gardeners Dream to those seeking a cost effective way of storing bulk material. I cannot comment on the longevity of the product, but I would assume that the material is not U.V. stabilised and therefore would require cover (such as a tarpaulin) for long term use. A word of advice to those who would use these bags for the same purpose as myself. Depending upon how well the gypsum board is broken up, I found that 44 sqm of 13 mm needed approximately 3 to 4 bags. If the gypsum board debris is smaller/finer (which I didn't) then you'll have fewer air gaps and wasted space in each bag.

Tombow tomorrow?
Tombow have a well earned reputation for a superior pencil. Understandably they, like other manufacturers, wish to increase their market share by offering a class pack of pencils that will appeal to the teacher and the pencil buff like myself. Overall the pencils offered in their class pack appear of general good quality though the finish appears on some pencils marred by rough handling. I'm inclined to think that it's not because they are manufactured outside of Japan, as much as they are probably factory seconds in appearance only. What really let Tombow down was their packaging. The pencils are loose packed and held in place by cardboard partitioning that, in my case, did not survive well the handling of the shipping services provided. I'm now left hoping that the leads have not been shattered in their transit and that the SV bonding of the leads is robust enough to maintain the quality of the drawing experience. Would I buy this product again tomorrow? Only if the packaging was redesigned properly.
