Lion Brand Suede Yarn

An excellent tool to teach "Listen and Follow Instructions".
RJ goes through the worst day ever, gum in his hair, he misses the bus, running in the halls, called into the Principal's office . . . He gets the same advice from his Mother that his teacher gave him in school, "Listen and Follow Instructions". So the next day, RJ does his best to listen and follow instructions. He makes the bus on time, does the right homework, kicks the ball into the right goal . . .
I am a Substitute Teacher, this is one of two books that I take with me every day that I work with elementary students. This book helps me to get the children to realize that even though their teacher isn't here today, every day they need to Listen and Follow Instructions. An excellent tool to teach "Listen and Follow Instructions".

This movie makes you laugh, cry, and gives you plenty to relate too.
1 of 1 found this helpful This movie makes you laugh, cry, and gives you plenty to relate too. This is one of my tools that I use when I Sub at the High School Level. I even made a worksheet for the students to fill out after the movie. There are so many life lessons in this movie, Bill learns how to encourage his daughter, Bill learns how to teach, his students learn how to think, how to experience success, and how to love Shakespeare, and how to trust each other. It is not all seriousness, there are some hilarious parts in it that will make your sides hurt such as, Bill on the Tower. This is one of Mark Wahlbergs first movies; Gregory Hines plays an excellent Drill Sergeant; there are several other actors in here that you will recognize as well. For me, this is a must have movie. I have it in VHS and DVD so I can show it wherever I am.
