It's a Technics 1200, 'nuff said!
8 of 11 found this helpful Incredible turntable, especially for its age. The motor is several notches above the less expensive alternatives. Would receive 5 stars except that this gear is used (if you find a 1200 that hasn't seen use BUY IT) and used gear almost always comes with unforeseen issues. In my case the bearings in the tonearm were toast and pulled the stylus off the platter on its own. Easily replaced but brought the total cost for a working table up to nearly that of newer competitors (looking at you Reloop RP-7000/8000.) just something to be aware of when purchasing old electronics sight unseen.
As far as performance goes this is a tried and true piece that won't disappoint. It may be basic but it will do what it's supposed to with little left to be desired.
