Roland V-Synth GT V2 Keyboard Synthesizer

Roland's True Flag Ship & Worse Mistake
It wasn't long ago when I first heard about a 'V-Synth'. What caught my attention was the Vocal Designer. After doing my research and watching endless videos, I came to the conclusion that the GT model was the best possible option for my needs. I wasn't disappointed. The GT is amazing in just about every way possible. The flexibility is endless. The quality for the board is better than most current models Roland offers. The Vocal Designer is unique and the vocoders are superior to most any others I've seen or heard prior. Although, it was discontinued some time ago, there is nothing about this kit that you will find outdated. In fact, it is superior to most all current offerings for a true sound creation synth. The touch screen, the unique tactical controllers, and the overall keyboard quality screams FLAG SHIP grade A quality. Although, it is not a workstation by any means, it does boast many workstation qualities. I love the pattern editor and the built in effects. If you want to create unique sounds and mangle samples until you are blue in the face, this is the machine for you. My summary is, Roland screwed up big time by stopping production and/or releasing a new version of the V-Synth GT. With modern tech, I could see a 256 voice beast incorporating full FA series workstation features with a large touch screen to boot kicking the but of any other synth/workstation. PERIOD. Only thing I feel missing from the V-Synth GT is more voices. 28 voices really is low for such a powerhouse. I'd even be happy with 64. The saving grace is, you can resample your sounds, therefore endlessly layering sounds to make the best of the original 28 voices. Pretty cool for sure. Spend what you have to on a minty fresh GT. It's worth the price and patience to find just the right one. Avoid these A**Clowns trying to sell junk for top dollar on ebay. There are good sellers and you can typically spot them a mile away. Grab one before you can't! You'll love it!

Not bad for old tech
These units are pretty nice all things considered. If you can find them direct cheap, go for it. The touch screen isn't very sensitive, so requires a bit more 'force' than I'd like. Overall, I'm amazed. I've let one playing for 1 month straight! Serious! It just keeps going. I plan to buy more if I can find them....

True Vintage Roland Analog Warmth, unsung hero of the VA world!
There's a lot of hype over VA vs pure analog. I think the JP-8000 puts that to bed! This board truly captures the warmth and feel of vintage Roland analog IMHO. It's a solid build, far better than the current S-8, JD-XI or XA! It doesn't feel like a toy, but more of a road worthy pro kit. Grab one! You won't be disappointed!
