Great printer, especially for a developer/tinkerer.
If you just need it for a POS scenario, then it's great, supporting pretty much anything you could want, including 2 color printing on thermal papers designed for it.
If you're a tinkerer and developer like me, then it's still a great printer. Most of the documentation you could want is available on CognitiveTPG's website, they being the actual manufacturer of the printer, HP just rebrands it. They don't provide the instructions for changing the physical paper size from 80mm to 82.5 or 60/57.5mm, but a quick look at the bottom of the printer quickly reveals the screws for moving the side plates into the width you would need. It supports standard ESC/POS commands, so interfacing is easy.

It's really great and looks new, even though it's 25 years old!

A cpu that works.
2 of 2 found this helpful This CPU works. No fancy Hyperthreading here, oh no. Straight up quad core power. If you're looking for an upgrade for your current XEON setup, here it is. If you're trying to breathe a bit more life into an aging 775 board, this and a conversion sticker can get you there.
Pros: it's a 3GHz quad-core xeon with a reasonable TDP.
Cons: because it's a xeon, it has a locked multiplier, so you can't overclock it very well, unless you tweak your FSB timings.
