Highly recommend coil springs
2 of 2 found this helpful My old coil springs were on there way out so installed these in 2 hour both sides and the handling improved and so did going over bumps. Wild recommend to any e46.

Fits E46
Bought his for my e46 318ci and mine was cracked a small amount. And bmw don’t sell the seal anymore! So had to buy this. Works very well and now tightens much sooner. For that reason I am much more confident in the fuel cap being closed and right.
Very cheap and took me about 20 secs to install.
Pic below is how mine was cracked a bit before installing the new one.
