Not Quite What I Expected...
Here's the catch...it's not that it isn't a good book. It is, and there's much to be learned. It's just not quite what I expected. The subtitle is, "A Thirty-Day Walk With the Savior." I was expecting a journey with Max through the gospels looking at the life of Christ as He walked this earth so we could learn from His experiences and interactions with others that we might be transformed and conformed to His image.
For the most part, that's just not what this book is about. Yes, there are glimpses into his interactions with others here on this earth, but more that that - it seems to me to be random thoughts that have been cobbled together about developing a more intimate relationship with God and developing a heart and habits that will draw us closer to Him and keep us right with Him. Not a bad idea at all! We need that. I need that. It's just not what I would consider a "walk with the Savior."
Please don't get me wrong. You'll profit from this book! I'm writing this just to make you aware of the contents so that you realize right up front what you're getting.

A Pink Cupcake...Delightful!!
I got this as a surprise gift for my wife, and she LOVED it!! There's a backstory to the pink cupcake, and it was just perfect to tie in with the story.

"Elite" Is a Good Word for Them...
I love these pens! They're sleek, and the ink is a nice, dark black. I especially like to write with them when the paper is "cushioned" by other sheets of paper. If you're writing on just a single piece of paper on a hard surface - well, remember, they are a micro point. In those instances, the point is almost too sharp for my liking. That's minor; though, most of the time I'm writing in a tablet or have a stack of papers, and these pens get the job done.
