I love them - bought two trays.
These ice cubes are brilliant. They are very slightly tricky to get out - the very bottom is the most flexible part as it's softer than the rest. I wouldn't recommend twisting the tray to get them out as this bit is rather brittle when it's full of ice.It's not soft like silicone although the bottom bubbly bits are. They recommend running it under the tap but I think the best way is to find a plastic box a bit bigger and fill it with hot water until you can push up the bottoms.
It's easiest to fill with the whole lid off - filling it through the blue trapdoor means you can't see which of the compartments have got water in them and the water doesn't migrate to all the compartments. It's actually best if they don't migrate If you filled it more fully they probably would migrate but then it's more likely to spill and because the frozen water expands they would be much harder to remove.
All in all they are absolutely great - the large cubes look great in the glass and they don't melt nearly as quickly as 2-4 individual cubes would.

Possibly showerproof - NOT waterproof
This appeared to be great when we first put it up. Nice attractive canopy which looked miles better than the PE plastic one which we had before. Easy for two people to assemble (maybe even one person at a pinch). If you want shelter from the sun you would be hard pushed to do better.
BUT it isn't waterproof. If there was a short sharp shower you would be fine.Even if the rain is heavy you don't see any drips inside but after a while anything underneath it gets wet. This is not from horizontal rain or wind blowing the rain in. When we investigated further there appeared to be an extremely fine kind of mist in the top centre section which made the table, cloth and chairs below get wet.
We contacted the seller who was sure it was condensation. We're not convinced about this and don't know what causes it but the upshot is you can't rely on this being waterproof. Please note that this is not the expected dampness that you get around the edges because the sides are open. It is definitely coming from the top.
