2HP In Ground swimming spa Pool Pump 5850 GPH dual voltage motor 2" thread npt

Good buy unless...

Bought this 2hp pump to replace a Hayward. Very quite and primes well. No leaks and basket lid seems to seal fine. Only getting 15 psi so it doesn't work well at all with my spa waterfall. Water does not pour out of the spa into the pool with enough pressure to get the desired effect. I have not used the jets in the spa alone with this pump but I assume the pressure will be lower as well. If you are using it for a pool only it is a good product for a generic pump. Good buy at less than half price of Hayward. Time will tell since it has been installed for only a few weeks. Another note: use a good amount of Teflon tape on threads to get a tight seal when installing. Had no problem getting proper 2inch pvc fitting at Home Depot. If I had the money i would have purchased Hayward but trying to cut costs on home repairs i dont regret the purchase.

Still cheaper than Hayward

This is my second pump in three and a half years. I run my pool about 6 hours a day. Took me 30 minutes to swap out the motors with no issues perfect fit. The pump seems to be of good quality. Hopefully this one will last a little longer. A Hayward replacement is $500 and my original Hayward pump lasted about 5 years. Hope this helps you make a decision.

Great Buy

Plays my ipod touch 1st gen with no problem to play my music and podcasts. Good deep sound. use it in my work truck with 6v dc adapter. These players that are compatable with older ipods are getting harder to find. refurbished but looks like new with adapters and power cord.
