Smells musty...

I'm guessing these were sitting in a warehouse for about 10 years... or in a. basement. There's no expiration date on them so it's hard to say but I've used Prosoro shaving cream before and it isn't supposed to smell musty. This stuff stinks. Literally.

Pretty much unusable...

So there's a little sensor at the top of the LG4 screen near the front facing camera that tells when the phone is up to your ear. This sensor then dims the screen and keeps it dim while the phone is up to your ear. I think you should be able to tell where I'm going with this, but basically this screen protector covers that sensor. So when you're using the phone as a phone the backlit screen is dim and there is essentially no way to light it up. There may be some over ride somewhere to turn this off but I'm not aware of it and I did some poking around. This screen protector (and many other cheap screen protectors like it) renders the phone almost useless when on a call because you have no option to dial once the call starts. So if you're making a call to somewhere with an automated system (which makes up about 90% of my phone calls these days) forget aboit being able to press 1 for English... That won't work. I did have an icarez screen protector that worked great and didn't cause this problem but it wore out as they eventually do and i ended up trying a few of these cheaper options. I can say I have yet to find a cheaper one that doesn't cause this problem. It's too bad because they aren't bad screen protectors otherwise for the price.

Received a Refurb from Vizio with a badly torn tweeter

I can't believe they would send a unit out like this. We hooked it up to the downstairs TV, which basically is my son's Xbox TV and I instantly noticed a little bit of a crackle off of some of the music in Minecraft. It was at a low volume and Minecraft has some weird music in it so I didn't immediately think anything of it. It otherwise sounded pretty good. But after listening to some dialogue and some different audio tracks I realized they shipped the thing to me, supposedly "manufacturer refurbished", with a torn tweeter. It's a shame too, because this thing sounded good otherwise. I'm a fan of Vizio audio and video products. I feel like overall they provide a great value for the price. By that I mean, I replaced this with a Samsung soundbar that was the same price, but the Samsung doesn't have near the punch as this sound stand had. I really wish they had better QC because I think I would have been pretty happy with this product otherwise.
