Dualit Classic Polished Steel 1.7 Litre Kettle

Pricey but excellent

You can see why they cost more, but it's well worth it. Solid, replaceable element, very quiet to boiling (hooray!) and looks good. Easy to see measurements, spout pours without trickling.

Does the job but so fiddly!

As a budget raised bed, specifically for ericacious plants in my case it's OK. But it's extremely fiddly to construct, and the last part to attach the strengthening struts is impossible without help, and one panel got bent in the process. So that's why I say it's good value, because it's relatively cheap, but I wouldn't really recommend it, and with hindsight wouldn't get another.
