Did not work for me
Tô be fair, I did not like this product simply because I expected something else. I have a PopSocket wallet and wanted this to replace the end of my pop socket. It is too wide and too thick for such purpose, it can not be done. I wish such product would be available. As for this one, I am still trying to find a way to use it. Have not yet.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly all-in-one
I must admit that I was and am still a little skeptical about this product... It costs less than a quarter of the price of similar IH Electric pressure cookers and claims to be an IH multifunction rice pressure cooker. Not sure if really is IH or just has an inner pot that transfers heat well.
I have been using it for a few days now and here is what happened so far:
- There is a strong smell of plastic (burning) during cooking... maybe it will go away when it is not new anymore. Can not understand the function of a plastic piece over the steam release valve.
- I am a little concerned about the safety features of it, as it only has one twisting lock (does not seem much). When the cooking starts, vapor comes out of the sides where the handles are...
- Although the inner lid does come off for washing, the rest of the lid does not come apart and cleaning is difficult to say the least. A lot of residue skips trough the top of the machine, inside where the inner pot sits. Again worried about the safety of the pressure cooker. And I have never even filled it half way.
- I wish the lid could be removed, it does not fit under cupboards when opened. Having said that, the opening is cool. After unlocking, you must press a button which releases a latch and it does not spring open, it opens slowly and nicely.
So far I have only cooked rice in various ways, including very soft rice and the results have been very good. The rice tastes good. The plastic smell did not transfer to the food.
There was a slight drying of the rice at the bottom of the pot, not really burned but not far from it, when left in heating mode.
I must explore the other functions of it before I can tell more, so far the biggest negative is the cleaning part being quite annoying as it made a considerable mess cooking soft rice (something between regular rice and porridge, just not as liquid).
The positive is that it cooked everything I tried just as I wanted it to. The controls are easy and has a nice balance between preset modes and personal control.
The beeping alarms are also good. Most asian machines tend to make too much noise beeping repeatedly and loudly. This one got it just right.
The display is clear and very easy to use, I like it.
The machine is ugly and too big. The HouSmile logo is not very well places and just makes the machine look cheap. Well, that is a compliment, given the fact that it is cheap but has some very good features that could place it a level above.
I am also disappointed that I can not find any accessories for it anywhere. No lid, no extra inner pots. This may be a big negative as you can not replace the inner pot and that would make the whole machine useless. If there were replacements or even alternatives made out of different material, maybe silicone lids, hot pot type ceramic inner pots, Stainless steel without nonstick material, iron inner pots, etc, the company could probably make more money selling those and make the machine more desirable and long lasting.
