I wasn't sure about this, but I took a chance. I'm pleasantly surprised. The tool is very light in the hand. I was expecting something that felt more like an english sickle, with a bit of heft to it. When I tried it out, it was really effective.
The serrated edge means it works more on the pull than on the swing. You can cut thin stuff with a swish, but it works best if you grab a handful of whatver you're cutting hook it and pull the blade back. Great for low hanging branches.
