Good sound on a budget

They allow you to settle in and enjoy song after song. In terms of strictly sound quality, it's not really audiophile sound but good sound does come across. It's strength is in it's musical presentation and evenness which is excellent for the price.

I would recommend this for small project because It gets pretty hot 135c at 75ma. I am using it for a small stereo el84/12ax7 single ended amplifier. It sounds much better I found inserting a 150ohm resistor after the rectifier bridge. I wasn't able to figure out the current rating of the high voltage secondary but a previous transformer i had used for the same circuit was rated at 140ma and didn't get as hot.
