Dia-Compe 139 Drop BarRoad Safety Brake Lever
28 May, 2020
Almost perfect
I love these levers, but there are several minor issues. 1. The levers themselves are a little bit flexible. Not much, but it contributes a bit to squishiness on the brakes 2. The reach is rather long, and there's no way to adjust it. The simple adjustment screws that are on my other Dia-Compe levers is simply not there. Small hands? Beware. 3. There are no barrel adjusters. Seems like a simple enough addition, but instead you get... 4. Tiny silver ferrules that don't do much to hold the housing straight as it leaves the brake body, adding to the squishy factor. Again, I love these levers. I love their retro-future look, the multiple positions I can use with them, and they function pretty darn well, even with cantilevers on my MTB. They're pricey for what they are, though, tough to get ahold of, and those issues listed above mean 4 stars, not 5.
Nitto MT-10-80 Quill ATB Bicycle Stem, 35 Degree, Silver, 25.4 x 80mm

Pricey. Worth it?
Nitto stuff is the bomb. This thing is super tall and super short at the same time. Dope! Worth it? Well, once you've gotten past the flat feeling in your wallet and mounted this and rode it upright touring style on your vintage MTB, then yes. Worth it.
