Fully worth the price.
Making pasta doesn't have to be a chore!
I've been maing pasta using this machine for weeks now and it only takes about 20 minutes setup to finish.
Clean up is exceedingly simple too as all parts that come into contact with dough are machine washable. Without a dishwasher is also fine, as leaving pasta dough out in the open for a couple of hours turns it brittle and just shakes off.
The machine allows you the freedom to make both egg and semolina pasta, put the dough through another mixing cycle to firm it up, extrude and re-extrude if you don't like the first results.
If you're making pasta solo, the machine has a pause button to give you the time to separate out the extruded pasta.
Negatives with this machine:
If you choose to put the dough back in for a second cycle it becomes a lot more "hands on", as the dough will likely fail to fall into the extrusion screw or get stuck on one of the mixing arms.
Dough will build up in the space between the end of the screw and the die, I always find this is a small portions worth which is then hand shaped.
Dough will get extruded backwards in the space between the die and the die holder (though it's only a small amount)
Overall, making pasta using this machine is simple, easy and delicious, completely replacing anything store bought. With the added complexity of re-kneeding the dough and extruding twice + setup + cleanup it becomes a fun 40 minute activity. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind spending the time in the kitchen!
