How to make Clay Characters by Maureen Carlson Book
1 of 1 found this helpful Great book, very detailed, lots of photos, explains tools, various clays to use, which are her favorites,
and describes them well. Shows little secrets on how to make hairs....its a fun book.

excellent learning!
everything in this book is great for the beginner or the advanced....
She explains very well in detail, talks a lot with plenty of photos discusses the various
polymer clays and her thoughts behind them. I love this book.
Its great for anyone wanting to learn about art and its handmade items.

paper clay product
I purchased several different paper clay products (all air dry) some polyform, all to make my small bust dolls and the Creative Paper Clay worked best for me. It does not give me a over slimy feel on my hands while creating my project, there is NO stink at all! Others I notice there smell can start getting very annoying to me and it makes me want to stop working on them. I'm no pro at sculpting, but I've tried a variety of paper clays to get the feel of them. This is my favorite. The only negative problem "for me" is that I can't find it in the stores at Michaels and JoAnns, or Walmart...etc. It always has to be ordered. I suppose it's just my area of where I live. I live in Santa Maria, CA.....so not sure, might be different for you. Dries very nicely, faster than others in my opinion, and cleans up well on my tools. But everyone has their favorites. Give it a try.
Have fun
