"THIS LASER MOUNT IS A STELLAR ADDITION TO ANY DARK SKY!"

I PURCHASED THREE INEXPENSIVE LASER PENS A MONTH AGO AND THEN... THIS WELL MADE, AFFORDABLE MOUNT WAS THE THIRD UPGRADE OF MY OLD SUPER POLARIS GEM. THE FIRST WAS THE ADDITION OF A EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC AR102 GRAB AN GO ACROMAT. THE SECOND UPGRADE WAS THE ADM CRADLE FOR VIXEN DOVETAIL BARS. THIS LASER MOUNT IS SOLID ADONIZED ALUMINUM. THE PROFILE OF THE CURVED BASE FITS A FOUR OR FIVE INCH TELESCOPE TUBE PERFECTLY. MY LASER PENS ARE 14.5MM IN DIAMETER AN 150MM LONG....PERFECT FIT. I TEMPORARILY PUT MY LASER MOUNT ON THE HANDLE OF MY CRADLE RINGS WHERE THE CAMERA MIGHT GO....15 MINUTES DIALING IT IN ON A OLD TOBACCO BARN LESS THAN A HALF MILE AWAY AS DARKNESS FALLS AND THE CURTAINS GO UP. I NOW STAND UPRIGHT AND MOVE MY TELESCOPE FROM CLUSTER TO CLUSTER FROM THE BOTTOM OF AN ALL KNOWING GREEN LINE! IT TRULY IS HEAVEN. MY LASER MOUNT SELECTION TOOK A WHILE....BUT NOT MUCH LONGER THAN THE SHIPPING FROM CHINA....8 WORKING DAYS. IT REALLY WAS WORTH IT. I'VE USED LASERS WITH FIREARMS...TAKE MY WORD FOR IT THEY ARE EXCELLANT ON A TELESCOPE AS WELL AND THIS LASER MOUNT IS AS SOLID AS THEY COME! AND, THE PRICE IS RIGHT!

A Diamond in the Rough

With the price I paid for this little gem, I was inclined to look at it on the wall or make it play. I lowered the strings first at the heel of the neck and pot with a very thin shim, then at the saddle. Replacing the tuning machines, my fault, I stripped one trying to tune a string with the wrong button. Then I got a good set of medium strings. The intonation became spot on when I got the strings down to less than an 1/8" at the last fret. The neck was dead flat so I released the tension on the truss rod for a little relief. No buzzes! Friend, I love this little banjo. I learned a lot. I'm a drummer. If you have a little music in you, have patients, lean toward things technical and a few more dollars this could really be your diamond in the rough. All it needs is a good set-up. The instrument looks good, plays good and really sounds good now. I have NP nickel silver finger picks and time to kill! LR

Small but Powerful

This antenna is a great value. Over the years the wind destroyed my old antenna. This little amplified antenna is half the size of my old one. I was surprised with the performance and the wind is not it's enemy. My most distant stations are 60 miles and I have a sharp picture. I am very pleased!
