No vacuum was involved
It was the right size but it did not seal. There was little or no space saving involved. The new type of valve did not keep the air out. Within 1 hour the bag had reinflated to almost the original size. I found in a cupboard one of the earlier versions of this brand - virtually the same packaging - but the valve seal was different. It worked a treat - If it is not broken don't fix it.

Not as useful as I was hoping.
Nearly impossible to put together. Have had to tie a small bag with 2 stone in it to keep it in the water. It seems to struggle even when there is nothing much in the basket. I spend more time servicing it than I did clearing the surface of the water with a net. The mesh filter does not stop muk getting into he impeller.

Button hole foot
This foot only works in one direction, no good for button holes if you only get one side. and it is too short. But that is probably my error.
