robotic swiffer works great! This is a hard floor wiper, not a vacuum. for hard floors only!
I have an arsenal of 7 mint and I-robot braava robotic swiffers. I have only Saturday to clean, so I have one for each room. I bought this from eBay because it was ten year old "new old stock", clearly hadn't been used. I could see the factory seal in the picture in the listing.
it did not operate when I received it, (been sitting for ten years) but I knew to put in a fresh battery into the robot (not the cube). badda bing. brand new robot.
even thought this technology is ten years old, it far surpasses roomba and other random motion robots. no repetitive movements, knows how to navigate. whisper quiet, clean non-crunchy floors.
First, I robot swiff, then damp wipe with the blue cloth. spray (water only) on the tile floor, let the robot damp wipe. why (water only)? chemicals will remove the tire treads.
I use the fluffy, lumpy, heavy duty swiffer cloths which get in the tile cracks better than the white cloth provided with the unit.
It is important to bot-proof your house. pick up chairs, trashcans, obstacles, wires, anything the bot will get tangled up, stuck, or waste battery on. In my open concept living area, I have 2x4 sticks I lay down on the ground to keep each bot in its area. Lift up furniture where the bots get trapped with pieces of wood or risers. it takes practice and preparation to make bots useful in your life, and I believe some people quit too soon.
no bot will clean up cat barf , chunks, or cheerios, so manually preclean the floor while you are putting the chairs up.
