pleased but sad about no timer

did a lot of searching before purchacing this model, although well pleased i did prefer my old one as i could set timer and leave it but since buying this model i have twice burt my cooking as keep forgetting you have to turn it off.i could not find one with a timer and if a large one came up with a timer i would out this one right away
