Great mini drone from Holy Stone with 3 batteries! Must buy!
1 of 1 found this helpful Purchased this micro drone as a gift for my 8 year old, but ended up wanting to borrow it a few times a week. Aside from needing a little help with the screw on the battery compartment, he was able to unbox and get flying with no assistance. The pairing process is actually simplified because you just plug the battery in to the drone, turn the controller on and then move the thumbsticks to pair.
The drone has 3 different speeds that are easily changed via the shoulder/bumper button. The best feature, by far, is the fact that the product comes with 3 batteries and 2 chargers. Each battery lasts at least 10 minutes, so combined you get about half an hour, which really surpasses other mini drones in this price/product range.
I was slightly concerned that the controller was cheaply made, but those were quickly invalidated. The drone was quick to react to input and the thumbsticks were snappy and solid.
The drone itself while light, is very durable and had no issues after a few "difficult" landings. The box did come with extra parts and the required tools, but unless you really abuse this, you probably won't need them for a while.The auto start/takeoff button is a good feature and allowed my 5 year old daughter to take control and do a few laps around the kitchen island.
The 3 speeds make it easily scalable to different skill ranges, so novices, intermediates and advanced users can all have fun.
If you need a good gift that won't get tossed after the first week, this is it!
