It is simple and it works.
I have had a MAC one and it worked great until I drove over it with a tractor. Then I purchased a snap on used one and it didn't work. Now this one. It works great do far. No problems. I do prefer no battery. I never question if the battery is bad since I have to hook it up to an external source. I already have to hook up my timing light anyway.

It does not work
Tried it on an engine I recently put new injectors in. Wanted to double check timing. It did not work at all. New battery, cleaning injector lines off, nothing. Hoping I can still fix it. I have owned one before and forgot it on a tractor. Fell off and ran over it. I was hoping I found a replacement.
